This weekend we will continue to think about the great promises that we can stand upon in our faith in Jesus Christ...this weekend we will think about the great promise of Peace..



God give us a promise of peace within our hearts and our lives as we live each day as disciples of Jesus Christ.



Peace is not that everything around us is fine..

Peace is that inner strength to make it through difficult situations and know that God is standing with you.



Summer worship is a great time to come and receive the inner peace of God through worship.

Summer is an exciting time of sharing in summer weekend worship at CUMC. This summer I am sharing in a series: "Standing on the Promises or Sitting On the Premises: The Promise of A Rock Solid Foundation"



So many people are building their foundations on the quick sand....quick sand being short cuts that end up being a sand that sifts away and let the house of our lives fall in.

Jesus talked about building foundation on the rock....

He gives us the promise of a rock solid foundation. If we decide to build upon that....our lives, our jobs, our kids, our faith will not fall in...



We invite you to come and stand on some promises not sit on the premises like so many do..

4th of JULY WEEKEND WORSHIP....JULY 3RD & 4TH...

JULY 3RD 7& 4TH...



We are blessed to have a special weekend that will include special music and one of our own special young adults who will be leading worship.

Infinitely Forgiven will be offering special music. Do you know how great it is to have this worship band that is made up of youth from our church. That are awesome. They lead worship at Dream Corner on a weekly basis and in AM Joy our Sunday Morning contemporary service every month. They are a committed group and we need to support them.

We are blessed to have Troy Milelr who is our Youth/Young Adult Ministries Assistant who also works with our contemporary worship bands. He is a senior at Geneva and his plans are to attend seminiary and go into the minsitry. He will be sharing in the leading of worshiop and the message for all 5 weekend services. What a commitment for him to be our worship leader and preacher for the weekend. There are not many full time ordained clergy who do that!!!!!!!!!!

We need to support him.

Yes it is 4th of July weekend..

Yes the 4th falls on Sunday...

So...what..

June 26th & 27th...



We share in an exciting weekdend of Summer Worship as we celebrate Ministry Weekend. I will be sharing with the congregation during a time of Celebrating my re-appoinment to CUMC. I am on a yearly appointment to CUMC. I celebrate beginning my 10th year of ministry with you..

During each of the services I along with you will be sharing our covenant of ministy together.


I will sharing the beginnin of a summer series with you..."Standing on the Promises or Sitting on the Premises....this weekend: The Promise of God's Presence with Us...

I am looking forward to challenging us to stand on the promises and not just to sit on the many premisess we sit on...

Father's Day Weekend Worship...June 19th & 20th

Father's Day Weekend Worship....June 19th & 20th..



We will be honoring those fathers who are alive and sharing their wisdom and love with us sons and daughters..

We will be remembering those who are no longer with us but we remember their thoughts and love in our lives.

We are better people if we were blessed with special dads..



Two books have given me a wonderful foundation for my sermon with you this weekend.

Big Russ by Tim Russert....and Wisdom of our Fathers by Tim Russert. Tim has now passed but these two books have touched the lives of many sons and daughters.

I will be sharing some Stories about Dads this weekend..



We will be recognizing those fathers in worship and sharing a special tribute.



Bring your father to worship this weekend of you can and celebrate the love and widsom of our dads..
