WEEKEND WORSHIP....OCTOBER 19TH & 20TH...

This weekend I will be leading the Contemporary services and beginning with Pastor Erik a brand new message series:
ENOUGH: DISCOVERING JOY THROUGH SIMPLICITY AND GENEROSITY....
This comes from a Rev. Adam Hamilton , lead pastor of the Resurrection United Methodist Church in Kansas. This is one of the fastest growing Untied Methodist Churches in the US.
Hamilton shares that one of the keys to their grown and depth in spirituality is their discovering joy through simplicity and generosity.
We will begin a special message series that will carry up to Thanksgiving.
This weekend we will be sharing "Faith In The Midst of Financial Crisis"
Hope that you will come and share around this special and timely message.

WEEKEND WORSHIP....OCTOBER 12TH & 13TH

WEEKEND WORSHIP.......OCTOBER 12TH & 13TH....
CELEBRATING CHILDREN'S SABBATH...

What a special weekend we will be having as we celebrate Children's Ministry in the life of our church. Many years ago our church made a commitment to have a full time Director of Children'sMinistry.  We did not want to make the mistake that so many make and look at ministry to children as entertainment of baby sitting. Children are spiritual beings and need to let God into their hearts and follow this God and grow in the knowledge and wisdom of God in their lives. This is so happening at CUMC. It is exciting to see the ministry that is taking place in children's ministry.

This was and is still a big commitment. We are so blessed to have Susan Winters as our leader of children ministry. She brings wisdom, enthusiasm and a vision for ministry.

This weekend Susan along with children and members of her ministry team will be leading all 5 weekend services as we celebrate Children's Sabbath.

We hope that you will come and celebrate the special gifts of God's children in our midst.
