LENT IV WEEKEND WORSHIP..............APRIL 2ND & 3RD.. Cast of Characters.....Common People in the Hand of an Un Common God...This Weekend: Mary, Martha & Lazarus.....playiing in God's band... This weekend we will continue in this holy season of Lent to go and grow deeper in our faith. We have shared in the past weeks...Matthew a Friend of Flops....The Woman(streetwalker) who washed the feet of Jesus... This weekend we think oif Mary... Martha... Lazarus.. These 3 remind me in the scripture that we need each other. We live in a society that permates that we don't need anyone. Isolation..On Your Own..mistrust...are all the key elements to a happy life.. Not according the scriptures.. This story in John points to us that we need each other... Some play the drums-------like Martha Some Play the flute---------like Mary Some play the Trumpet-----like Lazarus.. God calls some to be a Martha----servers.. God calls some to be a Mary---worhippers God calls some to be a Lazarus---Testifyers... God does nto call us to be Judas...but we have alot of them running around.. The one who takes...takes...takes...moans, complains...but never does anything.. So hope to see you as we think about needing one another and playing in God's band.
