We will continue to celebrate and proclaim on the Easter II Weekend..
HE IS RISEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be leading the Traditional weekend worship...and sharing the message:
From Walking Dead Into New Life:  This weekend The Story of Thomas..

Usually the weekend after Easter is a downer....it should never be...
this is when the real power of the Easter message touches so many people in the resurrection appearances of Jesus to many people..

TheWalking Dead series on AMC is about zombies ...
If you think about it..
Those who do not know Jesus Christ are spiritually dead and according to the scriptures are walking dead.

It is when the power of the resurrection and the presence of Christ permeates a dead heart that a person become new and alive.

This weekend we will celebrate From  Walking Dead Into New Life ...the story of Thomas.

Palm Sunday Weekend of Worship....March 23d & 24th

PALM SUNDAY WEEKEND........MARCH 23RD & 24TH..

All Children are invited to join the Palm Sunday Parades that begin at the beginning of each of the :Palm Sunday Worship Services:
    For Traditional Worship   Sat 5:30pm Sun 8:30 & 11am
             Meet in the hallway back by the Pre- School to line up...
    For Contemporary Worship  Sat. 6;14pm &; Sun. 9:45am line up in the gym entrance of the CLC.
All children will receive Palm Branches to wave for this special parade...

What a special weekend when we think of the King riding into Jerusalem....

This weekend I will be leading Traditional Worship and Pastor Erik will be leading Contemporary worship. The message this Palm Sunday Weekend will be: Giving It UP: Giving Up Our Popularity"

Jesus came not to be famous, popular or to be the greatest....he came to be the servant, the least and the savior of the world.

Come and share in this special weekend as we journey in the Palm Sunday processional and share in the wonderful proclamation of Palm Sunday.

LENT V..WEEKED WORSHIP AT CUMC...

LENT V....WEEKEND WORSHIP AT CUMC..... MARCH 16TH &; 17TH

What an awesome journey we have been on during this special and holy season called Lent...
We have been sharing what it means to give up more than choclate or cheescake for Lent..
We have been going deep with issues of things that have hold of us that we need to give up in order for us to be a DEEPER AND MORE COMMITTED FOLLOWER OF JESUS CHRIST.

This weekend  I will be leading the Contemporary Services sharing about Giving It Up...Giving up our Lives...We need to turn it ALL over in order for us to be a follower of Christ that will make a difference in the lives of other around us.

Giving up our lives is not easy but when we do....WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The difference we feel...the pressure that is off...the smile on our face and the growth that will take place is unreal..

So beware....this weekend  I will be challenging those who attend the Contemporary Services on Saturday night Crossroads 6:14 and Sunday Morning 9;45am AM...to
GIVE IT UP..GIVE UP YOUR LIVES..;

LENT IV WEEKEND WORSHIP....MARCH 9TH &; 10TH...

GIVING IT UP!.....GIVING UP OUR ENEMIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This weekend we will be going deeper into this Lenten Season and in this whole idea of Giving It Up.
I wish I could tell you it is getting easier but facing us this weekend we will be sharing the idea of Giving Up Our Enemies.

I will be leading Traditional Worship and sharing how important this Giving UP is for our spiritual growth and well being.

I invite you to come this weekend and grow deeper into your faith during Lent and also dive into the realm of Giving Up Enemies.
Now if you say ...I don't have any....you are very blind.
Anyone who is a follower of Christ has enemies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
According to the teachings of Jesus if you don't have any enemies you are not following him.
We need to be able to deal with them and let the love of God be flowing through us.

So...
Giving It Up this weekend.
Come and Give up an enemy or two.
