The scripture I will be using for my message this weekend is one of my favorites from the book o Psalms .....Psalm 121....


"I lift up my eyes unto the hills.....where does my help come from?


God...the maker of heaven and earth...."





We go through alot of stress....we struggle with emotional pain..


Sometimes we don't know where to turn.


I will be sharing what the Psalmist says....turn to God..


look to God..


Lift up your eyes..your heart...your life..


God will be there will to guide, sustain and help us in the most difficult times.





During this great season of celebrating Epiphany we continue to celebrate the light of Christ that shines in the midst of darkness..

This weekend we will continue to celebrate the season of Epiphany. This great season is a reminder of the wonderful light of Jesus Christ that shines in the midst of all darkness...


We also honor and recognize our scouts, leaders and the troops as we celebrate Boy Scout Weekend...





We continue with the series Is There Life After Stress??


This weekend we are looking at Stress and Loneliness.





I come across so many people during the week who are lonely. I am not just talking about shut ins or those in nursing homes...but children, youth and adults who look like they are engaged in relationships with people...However, when you talk with them and look into their eyes, you see they are very lonely...This loneliness causes stress and stress sometimes causes lonelines..





Come and give it to God...

Epiphany II January 14th & 15th

This weekend: Is There Life After Stress?.....Stress & Commimitment......





During this time of the year this is some of things that happen...





*we are down after the Christmas Celebrations...


*we think that some of the bad stuff will stay in the past year but we found out it is waiting for us in the new year


*we did not have any snow...it was warm up till January...now it is snowing and the temperature is cold


*most people are depressed this time of the year more than any other


*the bills from Christmas do not go away..





In other words...this is a stressful time for us...





That is why God has called me to share with you a series during Epiphany called:


Is there Life after stress???



This weekend we will be looking at an Old Testament story in Daniel that will let us understand that commitment in this new year in our God is the only way we can make it through all the stress and stuff that is heading our way..

WEEKEND OF JANUARY 7TH & 8TH...

WEEKEND WORSHIP.....JANUARY 7TH & 8TH...

CELEBRATING THE BAPTISM OF OUR LORD....AND HOLY COMMUNION..
We will be remembering the baptism of our Lord and also sharing the remembrance of our baptism and the meaning behind it. What a great weekend to renew the vows that we made or was made on our behalf at our baptisms. God called us by name and set us into motion to be one of his disciples.
We also share in New Years Holy Communion.
What a great way to begin this new year.

WE ALSO CELEBRATE THE OPENING OF THE DOORS OF THE
CUMC COMMUNITY LIFE CENTER..

Following all the service there will be a time of dedication at the Community Life Center with tours.
The Traditional weekend worship: 5:30pm Saturday Nite Lite & Sunday Morning 8:30am & 11am will be held in the sanctuary with people gathering following the services at the CUMC Community Life Center for the dedication ceremony and tour.

The Contemporary Weekend Worship : Saturday Night 6;14pm Crossroads and Sunday 9:45am AM Joy will be held in the new home of the CUMC Community Life Center with the dedication ceremony and tour to follow.

What a great weekend in the life of our church
