LENT I MESSAGE: "Chast of Characters....Common People In the Hands of An Un-Common God: This weekend: Matthew; Friend of Flops....



This weekend we begin to grow deeper in our faith..

We will be looking at a chast of characters during this holy season. Characters that Jesus came in contact with...Are you and I characters??? I think so...

We will be seeing how common people came into contact with Jesus and these common people actually came into contact with an Un-Common God..



This first weekend we look at someone who was dispised...not invited to his class reunion...kep off the list of invitations to dinner parties...

His name...The Tax collector....Matthew..

He was a friend of flops...



YET...Jesus drew him to the UN common God..



Hope you come and bring your common character and let the God of transformation draw you in..

ASH WEDNESDAY....WEDNESDAY, March 9th

ASH WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9TH

Service of Holy Communion & Holy Ashes

11am Morning Service

7pm Evening Service



We invite you to come and be part of the traditonal day marking the beginning of the holy season of Lent. Ash Wednesday will be special time during the 7 weeks before Easter as a time of penitence and spiritual self-examination. Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginnig of Lent, derives its name from the ancient pratices of marking the foreheads of worshikppers with ashes from unused palm branches of the prvious year.



We will be sharing in two services 11am & 7pm. These services will include holy communion and the imposition of ashes. As the ashes are past we invite people to place them in their fingers, put on their wrists, put on their foreheads or simply reflect upon them. Holy Communion will be received as a reminder of the passion of our Lord as we prepare to reflect upon him in this Holy Season.



We invite you to come and bring a friend to this time of Ash Wednesday as we begin to go and grow deep into our discipleship in Jesus Christ.

TRANSFIGURATION WEEKEND...MARCH 5TH & 6TH

This weekend we will be celebrating TRANSFIGURATION WEEKEND..

during all 5 weekend worship services March 5th & 6th .



We will have special musical guest David Wells and his band sharing in special music at all 5 Weekend Sevices and they will be sharing a concert on Sunday Night at the Coffee House Cabaret 7pm.

We come to the conclusion of our journey...the time to celebrate the Vessel...the WORTHY VESSEL..

We talked about being lumps of clay...

God has breathed into us the breath of his life..

We need to be reminde..

We are the Clay...>God is the Potter..

so we need to get on the Master Potter's wheel and let him tranform us into Worhy Vessels.

We shared about the proces..

#2..resting

#3..deciding..

#4...forming..

This weekend we end with: FIRING AND CELEBRATING..

So we will end with a time of celebration..

This weekend; Restoring the Vessel



So we have been traveling through this time together..

Let's remind ourselves where we have been.

We began with the idea that we are the clay...God is the Potter.

God wants to make worthy vessels with our clay.

We began with the idea that we are lumps of clay...God has breathed into our nostrils the breath of life...we are are alive.

Yet we sometimes feel that we are lumps of clay..

God wants to get His hands on us and form us.

We must begin the proces.

We talked about the time of Preparation..

We talked about the time of rest

We talked about the time of Deciding..that God has decide who we are while we were in the womb of our mothers.

We have talked about the time of Forming.

We will be sharing this weekend about the time of Restoring.

Gooooooooooooood News..

God wants to restor us..

So come and celebrate the power of God..

God wants to make us worthy vessels.
