SERVICES OF ASHES AND COMMUNION

11AM MORNING SERVICE... 7pm EVENING SERVICE..



We begin with a dynamic day of Ash Wedneday...as we begin this holy season

of Lent....



We will be sharing 2 special services.....11am in the morning and 7pm at night..



These services will include the passing of ashes and the receiving of Holy Communion.



This is a tradtional day in the life of the church in which we begin the 40 days of

lenten journey..



I will be sharing the message "Extreme Spiritual Makeover.....

This will be a time of going deep in our faith and sharing in the journey of this

season of innner discipline and examination as we journey to the cross...



Hope that you will come and begin this holy season..

CELEBRATING TRANSFIGURATION WEEKEND WORSHIP FEB. 13TH & 14TH..



We invite you to go to the moutain......as we share the great story of the Transfiguration of our Lord....It was that special day that Jesus took some of his disciples with him to the holy mountain...He was transfigured before them...

His face shown...and he became a glowing white...

It was then that the voice of God was heard.....

The same voice that was heard at the baptism of our Lord...



The disciples wanted to stay on the mountain but Jesus reminded them that they had to come down from the mountain and begin the journey...

We know it as the journey to the cross....



We invite you to come and be part of this great.....day of climbing ...

We are climbing the mountain of our Lord as we begin to journey

in the up coming Lenten season..



this weekend I will be sharing the message: Your FAce Gives You Away...with the childrens moments based on "shine"

Never before in the life of teams today is there more i's than ever...The old saying..thereis no I in team...teams are brought down by division...coroprations are brought down by division...and in the bible we read that the church is brought down by division...



Jesus when he gathered in the upper room with disciples.

he taught them what it was to be a servant when he lowered himself and he washed his disciple's feet..Then he gavem them a new commandment..

"Love one anothe as I have love you..By this all will knowtht you are my disciples..



As living disciples...as the church today..

We need to rediscover what it means to be the church..

We need to be servants

We need to be in love with one another..

We need to be in unity....



We need to come together...join together and be in service for Jesus Christ..

Come this weekend as we seek the Eiphany Hope that will take us beyond division..

We come int the new year with many temptations....We are tempted to buy into the culture gospel...but the gospel of the culture seems like good news at first...but ends up being bad news..


We sometimes are tempted to follow the world's mentality...This weekend I will challenge you to engage yourself not into the world's philosophy but in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We will be challenged by Jesus to to different...


We will be considering the living in holiness as a way of life...


We will be thinking of the idea of holy as a living as a follower of Jesus Christ...set apart...





John Wesley believed that we should receive a call to holiness...


That does not mean being a snob...being exclusive...but lilving as though we are different people, set apart for great ministry...





So...I invite you to come and dare to be different....





This weekend's worship will help us deal with our temptations and turning them into the call of holiness..

When is the last time you have gone through suffering?????

physical suffering....had an ache...or pain..

had to go through a test...an exam....

go through raditation.......



emotional suffering...

had tough time at work...

had to say goodbye to someone....

still in mournign from the loss of a loved one..

down and out at this time of the year..



spiritual suffering..

you are being persecuted because of your beliefs..

you are becoming dried up and you need some new fresh water to flow in..



Epiphany Hope.....Hope Beyond Suffering...

That is where our weekend worship will be centered this weekend...



We will be looking at the sufferings that we go through and how the hope of God can come to rescue us...

fill us...renew us...

help us....

We need some Epiphany Hope to help us go beyond our suffering....



Bring your suffering to worship this weekend..



We pray that you will experience the Epiphan Hope of Jesus Christ..
